Welcome, Clippers!

Kennedy Middle School's mission is to develop a child’s academic and social skills necessary to effectively deal with a changing self in a changing world.  We do this through innovative teaching techniques in all classes, collaboration, integrated technology, and rigorous academics, including Honor’s level and project-based learning courses.  We encourage all students to become involved in the school culture through athletics, our multiple student-led organizations, and school spirit activities.  Kennedy Middle School is a great place to create positive memories, learn, grow, and prepare for your future…wherever that may lead you.

Salmon Release at Yates

Science students released Salmon at Yates Park.  They also learned how to make fishing lures and completed water quality studies on the Clinton River. A huge thank you to the Detroit Steelheaders Association for all the work they have done with our Science classes all year to make this happen.

Dorothy in Wonderland

Mrs. Perryman and Mrs. Bishoping directed Kennedy Middle School’s 40 Drama Club students in the inaugural play Dorothy in Wonderland.

Spectators saw Dorothy and Alice work together to defeat the Queen of Hearts and get back home. The 3 months of hard work to prepare for this lighthearted play provided the audience with a respite from anything dark in this world.
